«قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ، وَإِذَا رَكَعَ، وَبَعْدَمَا يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ. قَالَ وَائِلٌ: ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُمْ فِي الشِّتَاءِ فَرَأَيْتُهُمْ يَرْفَعُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِي الْبَرَانِسِ "»
