About the sources
The books
The twenty books, with the library’s books whose authors narrate with their own chains, each from its print on al-Maktaba al-Shamila, by its numbers. A hadith is one in its book however many prints hold it; the prints are its references.
The chains
Every chain as printed, man by man, with the word of transmission before each. A narrator tied to his entry opens his page; a name not tied yet stays as written. «ح» opens a second route.
The rulings
The scholars’ rulings on the hadith in their own words, each where it stands in his book: the early critics first, the modern editors of the prints after them (14th and 15th centuries AH).
The narrators
The narrators’ entries from the books of men in their authors’ words and places, with Ibn Hajar’s grade in the Taqrib and al-Dhahabi’s in al-Kashif. Teachers and students as al-Mizzi names them, and as our chains show them.
The Prophet’s words ﷺ
The gold frame is around the Prophet’s words ﷺ only; anything else is shown without gold.
