حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، نا عَفَّانُ، نا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، نا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ
«قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عُثْمَانَ: رَأَيْتَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: لَا، قُلْتُ: رَأَيْتَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ؟ قَالَ: لَا، وَلَكِنِ اتَّبَعْتُ عُمَرَ حِينَ قَامَ وَقَدْ صَدَّقَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ»
