٢٨٣١ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ هُوَ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ جَابِرٍ الْقَاضِي، عَنْ النَّوَّاسِ بْنِ سَمْعَانَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ البر وَالْإِثْمِ، فَقَالَ:

«الْبِرُّ حُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ، وَالْإِثْمُ مَا حَاكَ فِي نَفْسِكَ وَكَرِهْتَ أَنْ يَعْلَمَهُ النَّاسُ»
