٢٣٩٧٣ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا النَّهَّاسُ، عَنْ شَدَّادٍ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ، قَالَ: يَا طَاعُونُ خُذْنِي إِلَيْكَ قَالُوا: لِمَ تَقُولُ هَذَا؟ أَلَيْسَ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:

«إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَا يَزِيدُهُ طُولُ الْعُمُرِ إِلَّا خَيْرًا»

؟ قَالَ: بَلَى فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ وَكِيعٍ (١)
