١٤٢٩٦ - حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: وُلِدَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنَّا غُلَامٌ، فَأَسْمَاهُ الْقَاسِمَ، فَقُلْنَا: لَا نُكَنِّيكَ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ، وَلَا نُنْعِمُكَ عَيْنًا، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ:

«أَسْمِ ابْنَكَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ»
