١٣٨٧٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ:
«أَنَّ أُسَيْدَ بْنَ حُضَيْرٍ، وَعَبَّادَ بْنَ بِشْرٍ، كَانَا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ظَلْمَاءَ حِنْدِسٍ، فَخَرَجَا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ، فَأَضَاءَتْ عَصَا أَحَدِهِمَا، فَجَعَلَا يَمْشِيَانِ فِي ضَوْئِهَا، فَلَمَّا تَفَرَّقَا، أَضَاءَتْ عَصَا الْآخَرِ»
وَقَدْ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ أَيْضًا: فَلَمَّا تَفَرَّقَا أَضَاءَتْ عَصَا ذَا وَعَصَا ذَا (٣)
