«لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْمَدْحُ مِنَ اللهِ عز وجل مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ مَدَحَ نَفْسَهُ، وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَغْيَرَ مِنَ اللهِ مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ، وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْعُذْرُ مِنَ اللهِ، مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ أَنْزَلَ الْكِتَابَ، وَأَرْسَلَ الرُّسُلَ .»
