Sunan al-Darimi 558

Abd Allah ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Darimi

««أَدْرَكْتُ النَّاسَ، وَالنَّاسِكُ إِذَا نَسَكَ، لَمْ يُعْرَفْ مِنْ قِبَلِ مَنْطِقِهِ، وَلَكِنْ يُعْرَفُ مِنْ قِبَلِ عَمَلِهِ، فَذَلِكَ الْعِلْمُ النَّافِعُ»»

Its text does not say these are the Prophet’s words ﷺ, so they are not framed in gold.

٥٥٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: «أَدْرَكْتُ النَّاسَ، وَالنَّاسِكُ إِذَا نَسَكَ، لَمْ يُعْرَفْ مِنْ قِبَلِ مَنْطِقِهِ، وَلَكِنْ يُعْرَفُ مِنْ قِبَلِ عَمَلِهِ، فَذَلِكَ الْعِلْمُ النَّافِعُ» [تعليق المحقق] إسناده صحيح
