Sunan al-Darimi 390
Abd Allah ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Darimi
««لَا تُحَدِّثِ الْبَاطِلَ الْحُكَمَاءَ فَيَمْقُتُوكَ، وَلَا تُحَدِّثِ الْحِكْمَةَ لِلسُّفَهَاءِ، فَيُكَذِّبُوكَ، وَلَا تَمْنَعِ الْعِلْمَ أَهْلَهُ، فَتَأْثَمَ، وَلَا تَضَعْهُ فِي غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِ فَتُجَهَّلَ. إِنَّ عَلَيْكَ فِي عِلْمِكَ حَقًّا، كَمَا أَنَّ عَلَيْكَ فِي مَالِكَ حَقًّا»»
Its text does not say these are the Prophet’s words ﷺ, so they are not framed in gold.

٣٩٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزٌ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ سُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ: «لَا تُحَدِّثِ الْبَاطِلَ الْحُكَمَاءَ فَيَمْقُتُوكَ، وَلَا تُحَدِّثِ الْحِكْمَةَ لِلسُّفَهَاءِ، فَيُكَذِّبُوكَ، وَلَا تَمْنَعِ الْعِلْمَ أَهْلَهُ، فَتَأْثَمَ، وَلَا تَضَعْهُ فِي غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِ فَتُجَهَّلَ. إِنَّ عَلَيْكَ فِي عِلْمِكَ حَقًّا، كَمَا أَنَّ عَلَيْكَ فِي مَالِكَ حَقًّا» [تعليق المحقق] إسناده صحيح
