Sunan al-Darimi 124
Abd Allah ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Darimi
«" إِذَا سُئِلَ عَنِ الْأَمْرِ: أَكَانَ هَذَا؟ فَإِنْ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ، قَدْ كَانَ، حَدَّثَ فِيهِ بِالَّذِي يَعْلَمُ وَالَّذِي يَرَى، وَإِنْ قَالُوا: لَمْ يَكُنْ، قَالَ: فَذَرُوهُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ "»
Its text does not say these are the Prophet’s words ﷺ, so they are not framed in gold.

١٢٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، أَنبَأَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ: بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ، كَانَ يَقُولُ " إِذَا سُئِلَ عَنِ الْأَمْرِ: أَكَانَ هَذَا؟ فَإِنْ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ، قَدْ كَانَ، حَدَّثَ فِيهِ بِالَّذِي يَعْلَمُ وَالَّذِي يَرَى، وَإِنْ قَالُوا: لَمْ يَكُنْ، قَالَ: فَذَرُوهُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ " [تعليق المحقق] لم يحكم عليه المحقق
